South Australian in Lockdown | Can You Still Get Financial Advice?
What a rollercoaster of a week this has been, culminating in South Australia going into a circuit breaker lockdown for six days. Fortunately, it looks like there is still toilet paper around, and other than a bit of a rush for essentials, sense, seems to have prevailed this time around. Touch wood, though, that South Australia can bring this under control quickly.

One of the services most notably changed for any loans, refinances or purchases currently happening is that the valuations have been hampered due to valuers not being able to physically visit properties. Until lockdown ends, this will be ongoing. However, a lot of the time, a physical valuation is not required, and a “desktop” that relies on computer-generated pricing will do the trick.
Due to the rest of the back of house loan processing being located in other states or countries, as well as the fact that due to Covid-19 the workforce working from home, loans are stil being processed. The banking world has also adjusted well regarding the front of house processes allowing interviews and Id’ing to occur electronically via apps like zoom and Teams. This will enable brokers like Castle Mortgages in Adelaide to still be able to serve you in the comfort of your own home and take the headache out of finance. Documents that would usually need a wet signature are also moving over to Adobe signatures, again taking the requirement to meet in person out of the equation.
